HTC may allow existing HTC One owners to replace Sense with stock Android

The company confirmed to The Verge that it is currently ?examining the best way to support early adopters of the One? who may prefer stock Android over Sense. The Verge speculates that HTC could release an update to remove the Sense user interface in the form of a stock Android ROM, however no specific details were given

Interesting in that you could get a carrier subsidized regular HTC One and still get a pure Google phone like the already announced Google Edition without having to buy one full price from Google Play store.

Honestly I really can't see why anyone would do this. You end up giving up every software ability the phone was intended to have and designed around. Goodbye 4 ultra pixel camera software (zoe, Events albums, implementation of social media) hello regular 4mp camera, and boring gallery. Good bye blinkfeed, and Sense 5. Honestly the one is perfectly designed. No need for stock Android and actually really silly considering the nexus 4 starts at $299 just buy a nexus 4 and keep an HTC one the way it was meant to be.
