Can any one confirm something about non full screen support on stock browser.

I feel like after the developers edition firmware update they made the non full screen support basically the same simply leaving the notification bar when scrolling down. When scrolling up the browser bar appears. This is the same as Chromes full screen only the stock full screen is minus the notification bar. I feel like before the last update the browser bar never disappeared on the stock browser unless you checked full screen. Does anyone remember or does anyone still have a non up to date phone?
