recently I've noticed that while reading an article on chrome or just browsing my screen brightness is changing (dims or brightens every few minutes) without any change of the surrounding (same light conditions (dark), same room, I don't move, there's plenty of battery).

Why is it happening? it's annoying!

Have you installed 4.2.2 update? It started happening to me after update. I assume it's some kind of problem with the sensors. Constantly detects changes in front of the phone (even though the phone area hasn't changed). Not sure how to fix it...wait for another update?
