Swappable carriers

Hopefully someone can answer this for me. I have the AT&T HTC One and was wondering if I could use a prepaid T Mobile sim in it or would I have to jump through a lot of hoops?

Usually I'm fine with my carrier but there are a few places where AT&T doesn't work so well. Would be nice to have another option without having to carry around another phone.

You would have to contact AT&T to have the phone unlocked. They usually will do it but can have restrictions.
