    Hey guys,

    So far the smoothest SMS app happens to be the stock client that HTC themselves built. I'm over it. I love Sliding messaging Pro, it really is the best in terms of features. But with every new feature comes a period of lag until the dev can fix it. Anyways, can you guys recommend an awesome SMS app.

    Note I've already tried and don't like the following;

    Go SMS
    Textra
    Simply text
    HiSms
    Pansi
    Text Secure

    Oh crap. Sorry, I guess I should have searched through here. I did not see the thread already made.

    I use the stock app, Sliding Pro and Contact+. Give Contact+ a try and see if it works for you.

    Textra is the best. It is smooth, lightweight, fast, and has a great interface.

    I actually like the stock app but there is one thing I really missed. Having my sms popup in luck screen is a must for me.

    I use handcent very customizable and does what I want without having to delve into the settings.

    I use ChompSMS. Its great and pretty smooth. I mainly use it for the emoji support but I also have Kii Keyboard which has emoji built in.

    I've tried GO. Its too much and too busy for my liking.
