Any one notice gps icon always there after 4.3 update

Now GPS is always active. I needed to go into settings under location and turn it off for all other apps to use for location. I still left it on for google apps and doesn't show up though. I can't remember is this a new setting after 4.3 or is it just made visible now with the update more.

That's not been the case for me on 4.3. I seem to recall The Weather Channel app causing this in the past.

you must be using an app that is causing this.

Is the C|Net app actually using the GPS or just firing the icon?

Well I deleted the C|Net app but my GPS is still constantly on (icon is on the notification screen and when I check battery history it shows GPS on as a solid bar). Any other ideas?

OK found it - the Martian Smartwatch app was doing this when the option to display the weather was checked. Since it seems like there's a couple of apps that can cause this problem, maybe HTC did something strange with the GPS drivers in this update? I've been using the Martian smartwatch app for months and haven't had this problem until the 4.3 update.
