How do I get this off the back of my phone?

I have to return my HTC to the eBay seller soon and there is are brownish and gray dots on the back of my phone where the top white band is. I tried rubbing it off but it didn't work. I must have come from my case. Any advice on how to get it off?

Try a small amount of rubbing alcohol?

Alcohol is safe to clean gadgets with,just turn your phone off first, it evaporates very quickly.

I use alcohol on my phone all the time, just buy some wipes rather than pouring the stuff over your phone.

I don't think I have rubbing alcohol. I have some lens cleaner though if that will work. This may be a dumb question but would a little bit of hand sanitizer work?

In some old thread someone said that the Mr. Clean eraser worked wonders cleaning his One, specially with some grime on the white band.
