Hey All ! I have a silver 32g HTC One and In my opinion its the best phone in the world ! After purchasing the phone, I have to say the battery life as great but after Android 4.2 update it has gone down dramatically so much so that I have to charge it everyday and sometimes twice a day. After viewing some tips online I have bought the battery life back up a good deal and these tips include:
    1) Keep screen brightness down to a minimum
    2) Reduce homepages and try to cut down on widgets (Widgets keep updating which causes battery life to go down)
    3) Uninstall apps which you don't use (Their taking up storage capacity you might need plus they're doing more harm than good, even if your not actually using them)
    4) Install a battery saving app and analyze your patterns to see which apps are doing the most damage
    5) Disable Google Now and Google Maps location settings

After using these tips, my battery life has gone up ! I hope people use these tips and hopefully their battery life goes up !

Another recommendation is to disable mobile data when the screen goes off. A nice little app called Auto Data does this.

I'm on sprint with official android 4.3 and my battery has been draining fast with just WiFi on with a strong signal along with strong signal coverage.

FWIW - I did a factory reset and it didn't improve the battery drain issue.

Yes, I agree that this would probably help save some battery. And I've thought about doing this. But, won't this prevent you from getting updates from apps like push notifications for new Hangout and Gmail messages when the screen is off?
