Sense 6 Update Affected backup of Photos

So since my Verizon HTC One M7 updated to Sense 6 on Wednesday, my phone stopped backing up photos I take to google. I've cleared the cache to try redoing the whole thing but now its just stuck.

I have google set to back up photos only on wifi since I am limited to 2gb. It just says no wifi when I try to force the upload. I change the setting to use my cell service and it starts no problem, but once I change the settings back to wifi only, it dies, saying there's no wifi. I've tried several wifis with no avail. My girlfriend's S5 works with no problems.

Anyone have anything on this?

Go to data usage, menu, hotspots, make sure that your trusted networks are not marked as a hotspot. You may have to then reboot.

This fixed my G+ backup problem and I am hoping that it addresses a few other issues I have noticed.
