Should I update M7 to 5.x?

I have an HTC One M7 running 4.4.3. The phone constantly prompts me to install updates that will update to 5.0. Should I update to 5.0? Is it stable? Are there any CONS? Does 5.0 do a better job with battery usage? thanks

I cant update my HTC one m7 .. I am on 4.1.2. My HTC is european I think .. HTC 001 at cid .. but when I had problems I installed a factory ruu asia wwe or something .. long story short I get ota but can't update because it's not factory original os .. I have s-on unlocked .. help please
