The phone has been acting up almost since the day I got it as a replacement for my previous M7. It almost certain it was refurbished. Anyways the screen had a dead spot that went horizontally from the volume down button. This was annoying enough but the phone would occasionally freak out and send a barrage of ghost touches in that area that mess whatever I was doing up. Suffice to say I reached my limit and bent the phone with my hands and I think I totally killed it. It wont turn on and it doesnt show up when plugged into the computer. I'm not that hopeful but I figured I might as well ask if there is any way to salvage it as well as if anyone knows what (internally) would cause it to go totally dead.

Welcome to Android Central! HULK SMASH!!! Sorry, couldn't resist.;)

If you physically damaged the motherboard, then the only way you'll be able to get that data is if you bring it to some really good phone repair shop, which will likely cost quite a bit of money. Sorry!
