    Dear all,

I want to describe a problem that normally shoudn't exist at all. I have been using my HTC for a long time without any problems. For security reasons I have encrypted my internal storage right from the beginning. This worked well: every time I started my phone I had to enter my password in order to proceed.

Now I have realised, that after a power off my phone boots until the screen lock appears. I don't have to enter my password to decrypt the storage!

According to HTC decryption is not reversible. The question is how does my HTC know my password without typing it in? From my point of view it seems that the security measures have been compromised.

Does anybody has a clue what is going on here?

    Kind regards, Thomas
