MP alone doesn't necessarily mean much. Htc had a 16mp smartphone a few years ago.

I have done a little research on the Dual cams and IMO it will be the future for cell phones. The dual cams will give you optical zoom that is missing in other cams. At least HTC is not sitting on their a$$ like other cell phone makers and just adding more mp, They are trying to improve the camera.

I seriously doubt this story simply because it says the front camera will be 4 MP when the retail packaging, if it's real, seems to imply 5 MP. Also all rumors aim towards a 5 MP front camera.

At least HTC is not sitting on their a$$ like other cell phone makers and just adding more mp, They are trying to improve the camera.

Nokia and Samsung and Sony have also done more than just increasing MP, they have improved the technology in their camera modules

It will be nice if HTC is doing something along these lines. The hardware is at the point where it can push the software that does these functions.

If your talking about the one x+, that camera was the best phone camera I have EVER used. I truly hope the camera is much improved over the the ultra pixel I have now. It will have to be for me to upgrade.

I thought that the one x+ was 8mp?

Samsung has created ISOCELL which I think is another improvement over just upgrading MP

Based on the samples I've seen on PA (grain of salt), the ISOCELL fails in low lighting compared to the competition.
