Snapdragon 800 on devs and unlocked editions?

I see on HTC Web site says 800 and a number, a Google that number and in fact is a 800, anyone here has bought from HTC so we can confirm??

HTC's site says 8974 which can be an 800 or an 801, depending on the suffix after it. If it's "AA", it's an 800, if it's "AB" or "AC" it's an 801. The Google Play Edition is an 8974-AB Snapdragon 801. My assumption is HTC's is the same thing.
