Making gifs from Zoes?

I was trying to figure out how to make animated gifs from zoes on the m8 just because it isn't working like it did on the m7. Maybe they'll add it in the unreleased app, but idk. Has anyone figured it out?

I did one but it only did the first 2 seconds. I chose Zoe mode for the camera. It takes a video. Then after, you go into the gallery, select the picture and then select edit. Up pops some choices on the bottom, swipe left until you see gif.
