It feels like my battery is just as bad as when I had an iPhone :( this was what I was looking forward too. Idk if I'm not doing something right but since 9am its been dropping to 47% and its 11:45am now. I have it set to automatic brightness. I close all apps I use after Im done with them as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Battery problems

Install GSAM battery monitor from the Play Store. Let it run for a day or so and then come back and post a screen shot of the battery stats inside GSAM

Based on your screenshot, 15 hours is fairly good but the real measurement is screen on time which GSAM will provide.

Once you do this, we can provide further help!

wow,i'm lucky that i get good battery life out of my m8 Screenshot_2014-04-27-22-20-12.jpg Screenshot_2014-04-27-22-21-14.jpg i have NFC disabled,i have auto brightness on,and i have the max for auto brightness set to about 50% i have also disabled all the bloatware that came installed from AT&T and i have been getting amazing battery life, before i go to sleep i also set it in power saving mode so it wont drop by much when i wake up.

EDIT:i would try doing a factory reset and see if that improves you're battery life,i did one about two weeks ago and it really helped.

I don't even get 4 hrs on screen time after installing the new Verizon update. I had amazing battery life before that. Nice work HTC.

you're cell phone reception is pretty low,if its always like that the phone will waste battery trying to maintain a decent signal,it may be a app you have that is using up more battery life than normal,i would honestly factory reset and see if it improves.

I'd also say you have an app taking a lot of power. I've been using my device normally on my last charge but have kept power saver on. Over night I've put it into extreme power saver with airplane mode and brightness to auto with a Max of 50%.
On my next cycle I won't use any battery saver and see the difference.
I will say that for me the battery has been getting better after each charge.

Re: Battery problems

Really need to see the app usage page, looks like the culprit is in there

Can't fit it all. There's a lot of ones below that are at 0% or .1 or .2

Re: Battery problems

Are you using Hangouts for video calling or just messaging? Also media server is a little high, you using a sd card with a lot of media files on it? And lastly, mm-qcamera-daemon is a known bug in KitKat and a fix is in the works with Google. To help resolve battery drain with it, kill the camera and any apps using the camera after use.

Does low reception means more battery drain? And my LTE logo keeps turning on and off

Of your LTE logo keeps going on and off I would say a lot of battery is being used looking for a signal.
