Otterbox Defender Series and Keyboard Issues

I have an Otterbox Defender Series case for my M8. Whenever I'm typing anything, it seems without fail a random letter will register a double-tap and put 2 letters where I just wanted 1. I believe it may be due to the screen cover not being totally flat against the screen. Has anyone else experienced this with or without the Defender Series case?

I have an Otterbox Defender and have not noticed that. What keyboard software and launcher are you using?

Mine will do the same thing. I've come close to cutting out the plastic a few times. Can be really annoying at times
