HTC one m8 unlocked from Verizon blocked apps can't upgrade

Hello guys from Android central this is my first post and my first time on an Android device, but here's my problem

I have a two weeks old HTC one m8 that my parents sent me from us (I'm from Venezuela Latin america) it's unlocked from Verizon but Ive been trying to do some things like Hotspot and checking new OS versions both seems to be impossible for me to get working, Is there anyway I can get them working without rooting and losing my warranty? Please have known mind that it's my first time on an Android device my previous one was a blackberry Z10


I would really appreciate any help from u guys

Thanks boo but it didn't help that much. My carrier allow to use Hotspot but when I try it says that it's not possible because I don't have a Verizon simcard

I'm afraid it didn't help bro, I know that my carrier allow Hotspot, but when I try to turn it on it says that i dont have a Verizon simcard

http://theunlockr.com/2014/04/10/root-verizon-htc-one-m8/ . Here is a link to root the HTC m8. Use it and download a hotspot app that uses root. This is the easiest way around it. You won't be able to use that hotspot due to it only being for Verizon customers. Plus if your paying for that service. You will no longer have to because they will have no idea you are using it with root.
