By year's end would be as far as I could really say with any kind of certainty. Hopefully by the end of summer (August?).

I would say sooner than that for us rooters.

If that's accurate then its good to know we won't have to wait too long.

If you feel you must be on the bleeding edge, get a Nexus. It is guaranteed to receive any Android system updates first. With how HTC kept the M7 updated, I doubt it'll be long before there's an update.

I'd take it with a grain of salt unless HTC states that on their website. If I read the article correctly, I believe it was the author giving his ETA. However, hopefully you're right and and update isn't far away.

Fair enough. But for OTA updates for non-rooted, non-custom ROM phones, there's not really any more definitive timetable than "sometime this year"

There are sites out there that have all that information listed of you just Google 4.4.3 change log

But quick things that I remember include WiFi improvements, cellular handoff improvements, software optimizations, and a variety of other little bug fixes.

My rule of thumb is take whatever is expected for OTA wait time and add 30-60 days to that number. 60-90 if you have Verizon like I do. At least that way you aren't dissapointed if it's delayed.
