Importing Personal Dictionary

I have a HTC One X with a large personal dictionary that I'd like to keep. I have backed it up and transferred it to my current M8 phone via Bluetooth. The file is: PersonalDictionary.htcudb.

When I select Restore from storage card it doesn't do anything. The file is in the root part of the SD card and not in a folder/sub-folder.

Could the file type be incompatible with the new phone?

Any ideas?

I would contact HTC support via web chat. They're sometimes helpful.

The only way to restore from that file is using your Mail account, not GMAIL. What you can do if you have an email address registered on the MAIL app is locate the file on the SD card, send it to that email, then download and open the attachment from the Mail app and it will be restored. I am sorry if my instructions seem a bit vague but I am about to go to sleep and I just wanted to help you. In short, send it to yourself and open it using the Mail app and it'll work.
