HTC One M8 Micro SD card problems - won't work

Can anyone help with 128G ScanDisk card problems.

I've tried 4 of them, I'm able to drag and drop MP3 files - but after a while the SD card fails. the files disappear and the phone asks me to re-format. I've tried everything but nothing will get the SD card to work properly. Sometimes they work for a week, then fail.

I thought it might be a faulty card but have tried 4, so I'm thinking there's something else wrong. The only SD card that worked, was a 16GB one. These are the cheaper cards from Ebay, which sometimes aren't good, but still, they've always worked in the past.

Never had a problem with Samsung, used lots of cards, but since I got my M8 nothing but problems.

Is there something I need to do to get the SD card to work normally?

One nice thing about SanDisk (among many others) - great customer support. Go to SanDisk microSD Tech Support and start a live chat (upper right on the screen). They'll get you going.

Drag and drop?
Do you mean in your computer?

As far as I recall, if the phone didn't put it there, it won't work.

You can set apps to store there data there, like the camera, voice recorder, message etc, as well as some apps, but you can't just go dump a bunch of data out there and expect it to show up.

I could be wrong, but that has been my experience.
