New camera app update on PlayStore - Missing features

I just updated the camera app on my M8.
Looking through it, it looks pretty good, but missing Zoe feature as well as effects....
Also, ISO settings does not change anything unless if in full manual mode...

Did you guys get this update? Thoughts?

It has always been a separate app, yet you can use it through the main camera app, by going to the camera selection menu and selecting Zoe Camera.

But I never really used it, so I wouldn't notice if there are any missing options from it.

Is it possible to uninstall Zoe completely from an M8? Or can you only uninstall updates? I'm wondering if the OP uninstalled Zoe completely, which is why it's not showing up as an option.

Look in the new Gallery app. All the effects & Zoe are there

dunno, until other camera apps can do what google camera does, it's tough to consider

Yeah, I see what you are saying, Zoe camera mode is gone. You can still create zoes in gallery, but not same thing as zoe camera mode. Now that I see it missing I'm pissed as well. Since I'm s-off, I'm gonna roll back to a 4.4.2 RUU and just level my M8 on that. Too many regressions in some of the updates to lollipop.

Dropping by to say sorry, it seems that when I made my previous post I still didn't got the update in question.

But now that I got it, yep Zoe is no longer in the main camera mode selection.

I'm back on a 4.4.2 1.57 base. Ran the RUU this morning. Have my zoe camera back. Also built in video highlights instead of having to go through Zoe app.

Just not happy with the way HTC has been updating some of their apps. Turning off play store updates from HTC apps.

I believe I have heard that the live effects are all available under the "gallery" and "photo effects" apps as part of the latest gallery update. Also, although it doesn't show the zoe feature if you hold the camera icon rather than press it it actually records a zoe despite not showing it anywhere

I haven't actually updated this yet but that's what I have read on blogs. Still a terrible and confusing update from HTC however.

any idea on how to get the older version back or only use one camera
I recently got some lenses and can only use them unless duo camera is turned off
