Tell me how you set your SD card as default memory for APPS please......

I have a HTC One M8 and I recently purchased and received a 128GB SD Card.

I would like to know why after installing my SD card I am unable to simply download apps directly to the card?

Also is it possible to set the SD card as your default memory for APPS without corrupting your device?

Root the ROM. Install External 2 Internal. (There's a Youtube video that explains how to use it.) Your SD card gets mounted as the internal storage, and you install apps the normal way, but your "internal storage" is 128GB.

You can't install (or even download) directly to the external card - they're done to the internal storage, then moved to the external card. (And moving an app doesn't save you much because only small pieces are moved, and links to the moved pieces are kept in internal storage. Using External 2 Internal to switch mounts overcomes that problem, because Android "thinks" that the card is its internal storage.
