Hello there, I've had my HTC One M8 for over a year now and it has been working fine the whole time. However, just now, the keyboard on my phone won't show up after I hit any text box. Did a quick google search and alot suggested to restart the phone.

And here's where the main problem comes, the phone didn't restart again on the lock screen like it usually do, but it opened up this white "FASTBOOT" screen. I can only navigate with the volume + and - button and the power button. I can't exit the white screen even after I've selected "REBOOT". Everytime I select "REBOOT" it goes back to the white screen again. Does anybody know how I can get around this? I really need to use my phone urgently. :'(

Feel free to give me detailed instructions as I'm not very familiar with all these tech stuff. It would also be great that a factory reset to be avoided as I have a lot important data in my phone.

I also never root it or unlock the phone as far as I've used it.

This is what is written on the screen:

***Software status: Modified ***
*** Locked ***
*** Security Warning ***

with a couple of Androids skateboarding on the bottom of the screen.

Your help is much appreciated :)
