Error: "Unfortunately, HTC Service Pack has stopped"

Hi. My HTC One M8 keeps getting the error "Unfortunately, HTC Service Pack has stopped". Even after clicking "ok" it keeps spamming the phone over and over which makes it very difficult to use. The phone has since being running very sluggish and unresponsive and I have to swipe several times to try unlock the screen and press the on/off button several times to unlock it. How do I sort this out? I installed the recent service pack after the problem happened but this hasn't done anything to remedy it and the same message still keeps popping up. Thanks in advance.

Uninstall it or go into settings, apps, and find HTC Service pack and clear cache and remove it.
Reboot phone and try it again.

I am having the same issue. And the HTC Service Pack is not listed under Apps. I went to the Google Play store and found the Service Pack update under "my apps", opened it, tried to uninstall...didn't work. Ideas?
