what should I do when my HTC ONE M8 phone get off after drowning into ocean water?

Please help me with with your valuable consent and experience.

Today my phone got drowned into ocean water. I found it back immediately but ut already drowned then. After a while it got off and never woke up. I don't know what to do. I tried to open several times but failed. It was only vibrating continuously. I also tried charging but I again.
I'm afraid if my phone is already dead???

You can try sticking it in rice a few days and see if it pulls the moisture out and works again, but that's not the only concern. Even if the rice worked, salt water is harsh on metal. If it didn't actually short out, causing permanent instant damage, it'll likely start corroding parts. If I were you, I'd start planning on getting a replacement.

I did this to my M6 aka Droid DNA. Put it in real rice not instant for a week and forget about it. Mine still works to this day!
