    My mom has an HTC M8 and is receiving the above message.
    I searched online and apparently the fix is clearing the cache for the HTC Sense app.
    Unfortunately and for some unknown reason, she does not have this app on her phone.
    Any ideas?

    When she goes to Settings>Apps, tell her to tap the menu button at the upper right and see if there's a Show System option.
