M9 gunmetal dev edition on backorder!!?!?!?!!?!?!?

Placed an order at 11:01 CST last night and just got an email saying they are on backorder. If this doesn't ship early next week, it will probably be cancelled and will wait for the S6 Edge, which is very hard for me to say since I am a huge HTC fanboy.

Relax. I think most people are assuming it's saying that because it's not shipping today. It's not really on backorder, but since it's basically a preorder, their system automatically sends that out.

I got the backorder email on my AT&T M9 from HTC I think they just auto send that on preorders, because my bank still shows the money pending to DRI* HTC Corporation

I tweeted to HTC USA's CEO he said they'll be shipping Monday.

I placed my order directly from HTC's website yesterday morning (3/27/15) (unlocked, gun metal) M9, around 7:30am EST. I received the backorder email a few hours later. My original order invoice states that it will start shipping between Monday March 30th-Friday April 3rd. I guess it is a generic automated email until they start shipping. Hopefully, we will see shipping movement on Monday. "fingers crossed"..

I believe you are correct. I received that same email about shipping between the 1st and 3rd of April. Then I got an email stressing that FedEx would be delivering it Monday!
