Why can't people hear me on my HTC M9?

[AC Question]

People cant hear me on htc m9

When I speak to people on the phone they tell me that there is background noise louder than my voice therefore they can't hear me.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Does anyone know how to solve it?

Interesting. People can hear me on my M9 but some have commented that I'm less clear than my previous phone, which was a BlackBerry Z30.

There's a secondary Mic on the back of the phone above and to the left. Make sure it's not blocked, e.g. by a case

I'm coming from a z10 and I've noticed the cellular radio doesn't fair as well in the low reception areas I'm usually in.

I can't specifically have any criticisms about the mic thus far, but calls in low reception either drop or are noticeably poorer quality than my z10.

Funny as when I recently upgraded I considered the z30 for the paratek antenna, but decided to make the move to android with the m9.

I have high hopes 5.1 will show some improvement in call quality, specifically in low reception areas, with less dropped calls and more efficient battery consumption.

One can dream! Haha
