Screen mirroring problems

I bought my HTC M9 (m9u) in colombia, I think this is the chinese version of the HTC M9.
I tried to the TV with samsung MHL adapter but it didn't work.
I found a Miracast product but when I try connecting to miracast with HTC Connect it fails on the last step before casting but with galaxy S5 the mirroring works just fine.

Any suggestions? solutions?
I tried also downloading different apps to mirror with miracast but they failed also.

Only the first gen Samsung MHL adapters were 5 pin true miro usb. After that Samsung went to an 11 pin for their adapters.
A regular Micro USB charger will still work but if you look closely Samsung products used a proprietary MHL adapter, it was an 11 pin unit.
Look for a generic MHL adapter or an HTC one.

As far as the miracast, not sure i have not used it but as always make sure software is up to date.
Another option you may try is a Chromecast.
