Still recommended with Marshmallow?

I've got an iPhone 6 and noticed it's starting to slow down, things like browsing speed etc. I loke changing phones and was looking at the M9 but just wondered with marshmallow, what's the speed and performance like on it. I was tempted with the S6 but hate the interface.

It's very fast and standby battery is greatly improved. However, screen on time still kind of stinks. Camera won't be as good but it's usable
