Receiving random updates to previous firmware update on AT&T HTC ONE M9

[AC Question]

In the past month AT&T has pushed an update to my HTC ONE M9 twice. After the completion of both updates, my phone still showed software version 2.11.502.21 with Android Version 5.1 and Sense Version 7.0.

I am really curious why this would be happening and AT&T support has no clue what is going on. No I'm not really suprised by that.

Welcome to Android Central! Has the Android security patch level changed at all? What month does it show? Has each update been the same filesize?

Mo Versi started that yesterday's update is a prerequisite for the upcoming Marshmallow update. Looks like we'll finally be getting it in the next few weeks.
