How do I remove 100% acetone nail polish remover from my phone?

A

AC Question

I spilled nail polish remover and hit my phone's screen. It seems as though the remover seeped under the screen of the device. I have read that to get water out of your phone, you put it in rice. I was wondering if this still applies to my HTC One M9. If not, what can I do to remove the acetone nail polish remover from my phone.

Turn your phone off and take of the back, the battery, any card sim, anything and heat your phone gently with a hair blower. 100% acetone is pretty much alcohol.
Best regards,Mikey. I hope you found what you were looking for.

Welcome to Android Central. Did it leave a film behind? I would try rubbing alcohol and see if that works.
