Recently, I was away from home (went to Singapore from Australia).
I have roaming enabled against my mobile account but always ensure that "Roaming Data" is unchecked/disabled AND I don't enable mobile data.
On my return, there was 8 cents in internation data roaming charges for 21 events where 1kb or less (one was 2kb, one 3kb) but I never used data. Wifi, yes. Mobile data, no.
Now, it isn't the 8 cents but more the concern that it seemed to do it.
Also, according to the bill, these usages seemed to always happened at random times BUT ALWAYS at the top of the hour (xx:00).
Has anyone else seen this kind of behaviour? I'm being bounced between Telstra and HTC, each pointing the finger at the other.
Looking to see if anyone has any experience with a phone "ignoring" its base settings like this seems to have.
