URGENT HELP PLEASE - Does Google Photos Sync Two Ways?

My wife dropped her phone in a toilet - I know. It was a HTC one mini. I took out her SIM, put it in my old HTC One. It worked. I then added her Google+ account on to the phone as a profile - believing that I would then be able to go in and see her photos. Instead, when you go in there you can only see my old photos that were stored on the phone.

I understood it may have uploaded them to her account - which was not a problem - but is there the possibility it has REPLACED them or deletd all of hers?

She is beside herself at the moment as all of the childrens pictures are on there from when they were born.

Make sure her account is selected in the app, otherwise you'll probably only be seeing your stuff.
