Hi, I am just a novice android user. I've had this HTC One M7 for a few months. Got it from a friend who had used it for about 6 months.

All was well till i got a message on the home screen that a newer version of OS is available for download. I clicked. It took a few hours, but now I had a newer looking android version 5.13.599.101

All was well till a couple of days ago when for no apparent reason, the phone became extremely slow. I restarted it, but it was now stuck on the boot screen. After waiting for a few minutes, I tried to restart. Now it is stuck in the Fastboot screen.HTC One (M7) Boot Failure - Stuck on Fastboot Screen-htc-one-fastboot.jpg

Have tried Recovery. The phone flashed the android logo screen, then goes blank. On pressing power button for a few seconds this screen appears:

    And nothing afterwards.

I use my phone for work and am completely disconnected. Somebody please help!

    - Haroon.

That screen with the triangle is the stock recovery. When you get to it press and hold the vol up and down together and you should enter a screen with options to clear the cache or do a factory reset. Clear the cache and see if that helps. you might need to do a hard reset
