Hi,

on my HTC One S, 4+, Android version just upgraded to 4.1.1, Software number: 3.14.709.102

I just set up my VPN. (settings> More >VPN> ....

Everytime I try to connect through VPN the phone asks me to set a lock screen PIN or password before I can use credential software.
I only have two options: Cancel and OK.
If I cancel, I cannot connect with my VPN. If I choose OK than I need to set up the PIN , or password or the pattern unlock screen.

I did try once and choose the pattern lock, however it is so boring, annoying and time consuming that I disabled it immediately.

Now back to square one. It seems I have no way to disable this request and avoid setting this security screen lock options to reach my VPN and connect.

Any help ???

You actually need to keep VPN active in order to click on NONE (no password/swipe/etc. for Lockscreen). I had to reinstall AnyConnect for example to get rid of the password form field again.

Try it.
