So, I bought a battery off Amazon. Thought it was new, but unfortunately, after installing and using it for a while, it actually had worse performance than the old battery. So I obviously bought a used battery that came out of a second hand phone.

My battery life is horrible and I'd like to replace it. I'd like to get a brand new battery but it seems so hard to find one, and not only that, I don't know if what I'm getting is a rip-off.

Does anyone know where I can get a brand new factory HTC One S Battery?

Welcome to the forums. The device is nearly 4 years old. Batteries probably haven't been in production for quite some time. I wouldn't be too surprised if all that is left is used batteries.
