    See (The green tool is a guitar pick [yep - the thing you use to play a guitar - they're part of a cellphone repairman's toolkit], the blue one is a spudger.) You can buy a battery and the tools for about $15 on Amazon.

    Also, remember, replacing the battery yourself voids any warranty it may have.

    HTC is pretty liberal with the warranty, but opening the back cover probably voids the warranty. (Rooting and flashing ROMs don't.)
