Navigation crashing on stock and custom ROM

I've been having this issue with my Navigation app crashing on my HOX (AT&T version), but only when using Satellite imagery. According to the Logcat, it's due to insufficient memory:

The killer thing is this - the issue was occurring on the Stock ROM and now that I've flashed CleanROM, it's still crashing. I figure if it were a software issue it would have gone away after the flash.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any guidance in trying to find the root of the issue? I'm hoping it's not a hardware issue. I could really use some help in trying to identify the problem if anyone has any thoughts.
