New HTC One X Screen Distortion, no incoming SMS

Anyone else have distortion (small white lines) running up and down the left side of the screen when launching Angry Birds Space, live walllpapers, etc.?

New Expansys USA phone, AT&T - it auto-configured the APN, yet I can't receive SMS. Sending them works fine.

Any ideas are most appreciated, and happy to answer any questions anyone may have about the One X (I have just about every new phone there is, in case you have a comparo-style question).

Just got the one x last week. Noticed the white lines on the edge of the screen when I was trying to load a hd game. Then checked a review online which had noticed this issue in a test device. HTC claimed that the problem would not persist in the final device. Have any ideas on what to do about it? Also noticed that the screen lag has worsened over a period of time...
