These battery features look awesome. Here's hoping it fixes some of the issues I've been having.

This has also been reported in the press.
I have a far east international version, but so far nothing here.

I can't wait.

Those who get this update please report any problems.

Additional new features/improvements found:

Sms background image, you can now put background image in your sms chatbox :)

Battery life with power saver enabled improves battery consumption in full 3G.

Scrolling/swiping between homepages is in 360 degrees compared to ICS that stops at the end of each side when you swipe.

New skins and wallpapers

Faster removing of apps via recent app button, no lag compared to ICS

That's what i have observed in just a day of usage.

What's the multitasking situation in this version? Any better than before or do apps still need to reload when you switch back to them? That's going to be the deciding factor in whether I decide to root and install a custom ROM or not.

I can honestly say I haven't been bothered by the multitasking since the last update.

It's just not a problem.

As long as you only press the recent apps button and not the home button, multi tasking should be fine...no need to reload the app.

That is very odd.
You should measure several cycles at various different charge levels.
I've never heard of charge levels affecting cpu speed.

Well as ive observed with standard quadrant, scores are higher when the battery is full as compared with only 50% of battery..
