Audio recording really low on apps.

Hey I recently noticed about a month ago that my HTC One X (factory stock) records volume VERY low I can barely hear it and the only way I can just hear it is by recording talking right into the mic and still can hardly hear it but this only happens in applications such as snapchat video and instagram video if I use the actual camera and record audio its fine and I can hear everything snapchat audio on video used to work fine can anyone help me out?

I have the exact same problem with my HTC One X, anyone found a solution?:-\

Same problem over here, seems it has to do something with the noise cancellation mic.
