How do I wipe my data/passwords/etc. from my One X?

My One X suddenly decided that sim cards don't work. Fortunately, I have the AT&T insurance. They sent me an HTC One. Now I need to send them back the broken One X. How can I make sure my passwords, etc. are gone before I return it?

Does the old One X not even turn on? If you can turn it on, just go to Settings>Backup & reset, and select Factory Data Reset. If you can't get to the settings menu for some reason, you could try a hardware factory reset, described in this article: HTC One X (AT&T) Support - Resetting HTC One X/One X‍+ (Hard reset) | HTC United States

Actually, the phone is just fine except for the minor detail that it doesn't see the SIM card any more. No calls, no texts, etc. I wish I could keep it, but part of the insurance deal is that I have to return it.
