Why do I keep getting the message, "HTC Dm stopped working?

I have a HTC One X. I think its about 8 years old. Great phone. Survived a year in China with me. When I hit the sync everything button, I suddenly started getting the message, "HTC Dm has stopped working" . What do I do to correct the problem? Un-sync everything? I use Google Chrome as my browser.

Welcome to Android Central! HTC DM is the Device Manager. Did you disable any HTC apps or system apps?
