V4A and U11 dongle?

I have an S8 and as much as it's not doing any problem I missed too much HTC and I want to get a U11 while waiting for U12.
Though I heard that the U11 is not very loud with 3.5mm earphones, so I wonder if V4A can really do a difference? And if Oreo update changed something in the sound quality?

What is V4A? As far as the 3.5 dongle it's plenty load. I have tested it against the HTC 10 and the quality is better on the U11 but it is just slightly lower in total volume. Don't have any idea if Oreo changed anything but will try to remember and check for you.
