Why the different radios?

I posted this in the skyrocket forum also. Can someone tell me why the sky rocket has a different radio from the Vivid and also which would be the better lte radio?

Vivid:

Network
2G Network GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
3G Network HSDPA 850, 1900, 2100 MHz
4G Network LTE 850 MHz

Skyrocket:

Network
2G Network GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
3G Network HSPA/UMTS 850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz
4G Network LTE 700 MHz

It's a typo because all AT&T LTE runs on 700mhz
