I am no longer able to transfer files to and from my phone via the USB cable!! Huawei Mate7

I have a Huawei mate 7 and when i bought it new and wanted to transfer files it was all working smoothly. i would plug in the USB cable and a notification would appear and i would allow it to access my files etc etc.

but now this doesn't happen any more. the phone will charge while it's plugged in, sure, but i no longer get the notification allowing me to allow it to access my phone. i have tried on a few different computer and still nothing, so i assume it is the phone. i have gone through all the settings and cant find anything but maybe i am missing something?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you also tried a different cable? USB cables can fail without notice -- and they could still charge without being able to transfer data.

Have your try another USB cable? Update driver, enter MTP mode. Hope this can help you
