I have Huawei Ascend XT2, i added 16GB SD card as external memory.
I decided to added that card as internal memory so i used ADB shell commands and partitioned it, it shows me as internal memory but shows wrong space, below are the commands I used:

HWH1711-Q:/ $ sm list-disks
disk:179:64
HWH1711-Q:/ $ sm partition disk:179:64 private

after doing this Memory & Storage shows this:

Total 32 GB, free: 123MB

Internal Storage
Total: 16.00 GB, free 3.47GB (Correct)
SD Card
Total: 32.00GB, free: 123MB (wrong as this is 16 GB and all empty)

any idea what am i doing wrong?

Welcome to the forums. Where did you get the card? If you have a PC read the card do you get the same numbers?

When the card was added as internal, it was encrypted. I would try reformatting the card and check it on the PC again.

I honestly think you got a card that was mislabeled for it's storage. I would also contact the seller to see about an exchange.

I reformatted it as Portable storage and it shows 14.91 GB free space with 1.44 used by system folders. So it is a 16 GB card. I don't think SD card is bad or mislabeled. I had my photos and songs on it and it works fine as Portable storage.

It might be something up with the version of Android that Huawei is using. Meaning there might be a bug in that ROM.
