mate 10 pro camera quality during night shot

I took a picture of a full moon with the the mate 10 pro. Night shot mode, SW ver. 8. Someone else did the same with iPhone 8 plus.

The iPhone 8 plus photo was way better. The moon looked like a bright circle of light, in contrast to the the mate photo which looked blurred, as if the moon was covered by a cloud.

Is this what should be expected from the mate 10 pro?

Since the phone has OIS, it's not blur, so unless there were some wispy clouds you didn't notice, that's probably it.

Very normal - updates for 2 years, except for Pixels. And manufacturers not releasing them quickly. The October update was actually in LG's hands at the beginning of September.

Night mode uses a longer exposure than auto and is susceptible to image blur if the camera isn't held steady. Unless you have very stable hands or a tripod I would stick to auto.
